Booking Terms & Conditions

CANCELLATION

  • The guest can cancel free of charge up to 48 hours prior to arrival.
  • The guest will be charged the first night if they cancel in the 48 hours prior to arrival.

NON REFUNDABLE RESERVATIONS

  • If you cancel, modify the booking or don’t show up, the fee will be the total price of the reservation. Regrettably there can be no exceptions to this and re-funds will not be given,
  • The total price of the reservation is charged at the time of booking.
  • Non Refundable Reservations are not available on the following booking offers:- ‘3 Nights For The Price Of 2’ ‘Half Price Sundays’ or ‘Pre Book Dinner/Sunday Roast Menu’.

GROUP RESERVATIONS

Bookings of five or more rooms are classed as ‘Group Bookings’.

Cancellation of a group booking or part of a group booking can be made free of charge provided the cancellation is made at least 7 days or more prior to arrival.  Guests will be charged for the first night if the cancellation is less than 7 days prior to arrival.

CHECK-IN/CHECK-OUT

Check-in from            3.00 p.m.           [Please contact us if your arrival time will be after 11.00 pm]

Check-out before      10.30 a.m.

PAYMENT/CREDIT CARDS

Guests are requested to pre-authorise credit cards on arrival to the value of the first nights stay.  DEBIT / VISA cards are required to pay on arrival. For guests who wish to pay cash, payment is required upon arrival.

The Palm Court Hotel accepts the following methods of payment – VISA, MASTERCARD, MAESTRO, SOLO, AMERICAN EXPRESS,  SWITCH, or CASH.

The Palm Court Hotel reserves the right to temporarily hold an amount prior to arrival.

The Palm Court Hotel reserves the right, on occasion,  to charge the first night tariff.

VOUCHERS

Afternoon Tea Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase and can be redeemed in ‘The Lounge’. Afternoon Tea Vouchers are valid for Afternoon Tea only. Afternoon Tea Vouchers are non-transferable and cannot be exchanged for cash. Please bring the original voucher with you.

Monetary Vouchers are valid for 12 months from the date of purchase. These vouchers are non-transferable.  If the voucher is used where the total value is less than that of the voucher then the remaining balance will be returned as a voucher. Please bring the original voucher with you.

Lost Vouchers will not be replaced and are non-refundable. Photocopies will not be accepted.

10% OFF ALL FOOD IN ‘THE RESTAURANT’ & ‘THE LOUNGE’ VOUCHERS

These vouchers are valid either in ‘The Restaurant’ or ‘The Lounge’ depending on the voucher you have.

Each voucher is valid for the number of people specified on the voucher, for the date specified on the voucher and the resident guests staying in the room specified on the voucher. ‘The vouchers  are valid for the time specified.  Each voucher is valid for one use only.

The vouchers are valid for food only.

The vouchers are non-transferable and cannot be used in conjunction with any other dining offer.

Lost vouchers will not be replaced. Please present your voucher to your server.

These vouchers have limited availability.

DIETARY REQUIREMENTS

Should guests have any special dietary requirements please contact us 48 hours prior to dining to enable us to cater for your needs.  We offer vegetarian, gluten free, lactose free and pescatarian options and will endeavour to alter our menu for any other requests. Please understand that all requests may not be possible.

Due to the way our food/drinks are prepared it is not possible to guarantee the absence of allergens in our meals/drinks. and we do not make a ‘Free From’ claim. Our menu descriptions do not include ALL ingredients.  Please speak to a member of staff should you have any concerns.

INTERNET

WiFi is available in all areas and is free of charge.

CHILDREN & EXTRA BED POLICY

All children are welcome.

Children aged 12 and under are considered to be children at this property.

Children aged 13 and over are considered to be adults at this property.
There is no capacity for extra beds in the bedrooms.
There is no capacity for extra people in the bedrooms.

PARKING

All guests staying at the Palm Court Hotel will receive guaranteed FREE parking within their reservation in the ‘Residents Guests Car Park’.   Sat nav YO112PS    [what3words:///agent.armed.palms]

We have 8 EV [Universal] charging points located in our ‘Resident Guests Car Park’ for the use of our overnight resident guests only. Contact reception for charges which may apply.

Car Parking is available from noon on the day of arrival until noon on the day of departure.

ACCESSIBILITY

The Palm Court Hotel is a 200 year old building situated in the centre of Scarborough.

Due to the age of the building some guests may experience difficulty navigating the stairways within the building. There are 5 steps  into ‘The Restaurant’ and 5 steps into ‘The Lounge’ which the lift does not access.

The passenger lift operates from the ground floor to all bedrooms.

Our property may not be suitable for guests who have walking difficulties.

We regret we are not able to accommodate mobility scooters within the hotel.

QUIET HOURS POLICY

The Palm Court Hotel operates a ‘QUIET HOURS POLICY’.  Between the hours of 10.00 pm and 8.00 am guests are requested not to make excessive noise or disturb other resident guests.

STAG/HEN PARTIES

We regret we do not take stag/hen parties.

PETS

Pets are not allowed.

‘CHRISTMAS/ NEW YEAR PACKAGES’  and TWIXTMAS BOOKINGS

A deposit of £150.00 per room will be required to secure your reservation. In the event that the booking is not confirmed before 1st November 2024, the booking will be released. All deposits are non-refundable.

Full payment for both the Christmas and New Year Packages are required no later than 1st November, 2024.

Bookings for our ‘Christmas and New Year Packages’ are non-refundable.  ‘10% Off Christmas and New Year Packages’ must be paid in full by 1st November 2024.

At the point of booking any guests with special dietary requirements should inform the hotel.

The Hotel reserves the right to amend any of the content of either Christmas or New Year programme without giving prior notice to the guest.

Extras such as drinks, wines and additional items etc. should be settled on departure.

Bookings for our Twixtmas dates 27th/28th/29th/30th December have a 14 day prior to arrival cancellation policy.  Any cancellation within 14 days of arrival for Twixt mas dates will be charged in full.
